Hello, I’m Maureen, and when it comes to education and teaching parents about learning challenges, well let’s just say it’s my sweet spot. It’s my story. I’ve coached, trained, laughed and cried with many parents and teachers over the past years. There were many a night I cried myself to sleep over my kids.
I’m a mother first with three great children. Two of my three children have learning differences that enable me to have the first-hand knowledge of what lies ahead. I navigated the maze of interventions, specialists, and schools for my children. As a teacher and advocate, I always put parent needs first and foremost having lived the concerns that most families face when deciding which path to take. It doesn’t have to be so difficult. Take it from someone who has lived it and learned it ~ answers reside here.
Currently, I blog for ADDITUDE magazine an online site for ADHD support.
I’m also a featured blogger at The Huffington Post.
I wish I could tell you that my health journey was swift and sudden, but it wasn’t.
My transformation was a learning process and a road to self-discovery and lots of learning and gut intuition.
I spent a big part of my life eating, not eating, having daily headaches, unexplained allergies, stress, and miscarriages. I could add a few more painful occurrences, but you get the picture.
