Five Essential Oils You Can’t Live Without

When I wrote my book Being Happy Raising Happy,  people would ask me to explain a bit more about essential oils and why I decided to write about them as a means to wellness. What better way to share the five essential oils I recommend than in a blog post! This is part two of a two-part series if you missed my other post about the seven foods you should eat as medicine, check it out here.

Essential Oils (EO) have been around since the dawn of man. Amazingly, they date back pre-biblical times. Over the ages, civilizations have found many uses for oils including healing and EOs are still going strong today. We use oils in many different ways in our lives including as our cleaning agents, personal care products and as our medicine. In my quest toward health and wellness, I’ve discovered five essential oils you can’t live without and want to share them with you too.

First, it’s important to understand some basic facts about the society we live in today. A poor lifestyle puts you at risk for virtually every mental and physical illness imaginable. Heart disease is a leading cause of death for both men and women, and 75-90% of all doctor visits in the US are for stress related issues.

Modern medicine is focused on diagnosis and treatment while the wellness lifestyle focuses on the cause and what lies beneath the disease and symptoms. Wellness is where EO comes into play because at times your body is capable of healing itself naturally. The key to wellness is learning what serves your body best, which is why you can’t live without these five essential oils.
