You could say I have a slight obsession with Medjool dates. They are so sweet and delicious, I want to make things with them morning noon and night! Medjool brownies – Medjool coffee cake – Medjool cookies…

Here are my Medjool Truffles.

They’re not just for the holidays, they are for every day. They may be small but they’re yummy and sweet, just the way a truffle should be.

So easy to make, and no bake. Super simple and delicious.

Drool Worthy Medjool Truffles

Serves 24

No-Cook Truffles but after mixing the dough will need to be refrigerated for 30 minutes. After the truffles are made they need to be in the fridge for an hour before serving.


  • 1 cup almonds
  • 18 pitted Medjool dates (~2 heaping cups)
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 5 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 3-4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa and/or toasted or regular unsweetened coconut (for coating the truffles)


Mix the first 4 ingredients until smooth and put into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Get the cocoa or coconut ready (or both!) by placing it on a plate and ready for rolling.

Once the dough is firm, roll into a small ball using a tablespoon for measuring. 

After all the dough is rolled into truffles put in the fridge again for at least an hour before serving.

Truffles will keep in the refrigerator in a covered dish for 5-7 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
