Seven Secrets For Healthy Eating

Learn The Seven Secrets For Healthy Eating

Everyone loves a good secret… right? One “secret” is pretty well known, but for some reason, we forget about it, especially when the new year creeps up on us like 2018 did this year for me.The bottom line is we’re looking for a healthy eating alternative.

So, what’s the secret?

Ready? (Cue the drum roll)

There isn’t a “silver bullet” diet that fits everyone’s life, lifestyle or disease.

Yes, I said disease.

We know this in our gut, but still every year the diet industry pushes and pulls us into a new dietary camp. And we tend to follow blindly.

Dietary Trends

“You have to be vegan.”

“Paleo is the only way.”

“Keto is perfect for everyone.”

“Gluten-free is the only way to heal your gut.”

I’ve tried them all over the years. I even read that you can lose 10 pounds by eating a grapefruit for breakfast every morning – only to wind up with stomach cramps and weight gain from water retention.

What? The article said I would lose 10 pounds!

The media is good. So good that we will try just about anything to lose a few pounds, what do we have to lose – right??

The truth is everyone isn’t a “one size fits all.” You have to find the best way of eating for you and you alone.

Habits hold true even if you have type 2 diabetes, thyroid or adrenal issues. One size fits all is not the answer to your health needs.

I know people who successfully lower their blood sugars by eating in moderation while others find success with a vegan plant-based diet.

It depends so much on YOU and what you desire, will stick with and many bio-individual factors that are different for everyone.

There are a few things, no matter what diet you follow, that you want to avoid or eliminate at all costs, especially if you are eating premade food (which are so popular and simple to prepare because of our hectic lifestyle.
